Bloodhound’s Bar Code Reader feature makes quick work of this time-consuming task. A small bar code is placed in the return address area of debtor letters and when a letter is returned with a bad address or a new address, the user simply scans the bar code that is showing through the window of the envelope to update the debtor record. No need to even open the envelopes! Bloodhound finds the appropriate debtor record and either flags it as having a bad address, or takes the user to the appropriate area to enter the new information.

Additional Uses
The Bar Code Reader can also be used to process incoming payments–bar codes can be placed on the portion of the notice that debtors return with their payments. With a quick scan of the bar code, Bloodhound finds the right account so that all the user has to do is enter in the payment amount.
